Timelines are a great way to visualize and track what you study in the Word.

We construct timelines and charts to help us better understand the sequences provided in Scripture.  It helps us understand events in relationship to one another, even though we don't always have all the details about exact starting or ending dates.

Ever wonder why the Tribulation is set for 7 years?

This prophecy of "70 weeks of years" given through Daniel is foundational for understanding the big picture of God's plan.  The book of Daniel is like the hub of a large wheel, whose spokes extend out and form the strength of the wheel itself.

God told Daniel that a certain amount of time had been alotted for judgment, a total of 490 years.  The time set for the first 483 years was set with great detail, beginning with a date in 536 BC, and ending with the rejection of the Messiah in 30 AD (a total of 483 years, to the day).  The remaining seven years in this judgment is the seven-year Tribulation period, the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy.

The Tribulation begins with the signing of the 7-year peace treaty with Israel (Daniel 9:27), and ends with the Glorious Appearing of the Messiah (Rev. 19:11-20).
